Carl is a local artist, living in Osterville, MA. He used the iPad and iPhone as an artistic medium and is considered one of the pioneers in digital art. Today. His Acrylic and Watercolors are sort after in many different countries.Graduating with a degree in graphic design, I began my career in the Navy as an illustrator draftsmen. I've been creating for over 80 years I have designed art for popular businesses such as Bowen, Vose Swan,John Hancock and teachers art. I also have had many of my art at present library and present of Finland office. Carl's works are displayed in many homes and corporation around the world. His career included Corporate Art Director, a Professor of Computer Graphics in many colleges and art schools

I paint from the top down. From the sky, then the sea, then the hills, then the houses. I look out the window sometimes to seek the color of the shadows and the different greens in the trees, but when I get ready to paint I just close my eyes and imagine a scene. I’ll get an inspiration and start painting; then I’ll forget everything, everything except the art itself.

Some of my accomplishments include the Boston marathon winer medal and posters for 12 years, New York marathon, LA marathon, Olympic pins design and being inducted into the New England Sports Hall of Fame in 1997. In 2002, he and his wife, Barbara, moved to the Cape where he started painting Cape Cod scenes.

Carl has traveled across the country 6 times, visited over

14 Nations Parks, painting on the canvas and iPad at many of them. People are always coming up to me and asking 'How are you doing that with your finger?' I tell them you have to know how to draw first, then it's like any media of drawing, Acrylic, watercolor, etc.

Carl is teaching how to use the iPad and iPhone classes at the Barnstable Senior Center in Hyannis, MA, and some of his work is on display there
